3 Types of Costume Character Parties For Kids

3 Types of Costume Character Parties For Kids

Albert Einstein said something about imagination being more important than knowledge; if you compare the joy children have with the stress of adulthood that adage may hold some truth.  Indeed, a big part of childhood is using your imagination to play.  As we get older, it seems, we use our imagination less and less—for some, imagination is only something to access because it can help with a job—and that might have something to do with how stressful adulthood is.

That might also just be speculation, but there seems to be an ounce of truth to it.  Children are constantly using their imagination and they always seem to be having a great time!  So make sure that you encourage this creativity, perhaps at the next birthday party, with Right choice costume rentals.

There are several ways you can go about this, of course:

Princess parties are always popular among young girls.  You could even have a princess or prince party for boys.  Now, which types of princesses (or princes) properties might be available for rental could depend upon licensing. Indeed, licensing could restrict which characters might visit your party or which costumes you could rent for your party guests to wear.  Still, consider licensed female and male characters from these stories, perhaps:

  • Cinderella
  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
  • The Little Mermaid
  • Rapunzel
  • Frozen

Maybe your daughter or son is not into princes and princesses. Maybe they like superheroes.  Everyone likes superheroes! Instead, then, consider these properties:

  • Spider Man
  • Superman
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • The Power Rangers
  • characters from The X-Men

And yet, some children may not be that into princesses or princes or fairy tales or super heroes.  Perhaps they are just not interested or maybe the child is a little too young to be fascinated by these kinds of things.  For these kids, then, you might prefer to go with a different type of character. Thus, you could consider something like:

  • Bob the Builder
  • Dora the Explorer
  • Winnie the Pooh (an Tigger, et al)
  • The Cat in the Hat
  • Hello Kitty
  • Barney the Dinosaur

The Minions from Despicable Me
